Rolo Pretzel Treats

Rolo Pretzel Delights are a no-bake holiday delicacy that only requires three ingredients: pretzels, Rolos, and nuts! More holiday snack ideas may be found here.

It’s no secret that I like baking. And since I like baking, November and December are my favorite months of the year. I get to create zillions of different dishes and blame it on the holidays.

They despise me at this time of year because I am ruining their diets. My employees adore me.

The issue I’m having is that I want to prepare so many recipes but don’t have nearly enough time to do so.

That’s when I start cheating and using a boxed cake mix to replace one, and prefabricated pie crusts to supplement another. I’m not proud of it, but that’s my reality.

When I’m in a hurry, there’s one dish I usually end up cooking that barely makes it to the serving table: Rolo Pretzel Delights. It’s almost unfair how easy and fast it is.

They’re also bite-sized, making them the ideal holiday nibble! Fill a dish with them, lay it on a coffee table at a party, and watch people swarm to them before they vanish! It’s magical, I swear.

Making Rolo Pretzel Delights

  1. To start, line a baking sheet with nonstick silicon mats or parchment paper, and then place pretzels in rows. I love to use Snyder’s of Hanover Butter Snaps because their square shape is exactly the amount of real estate you need for the toppings. Top each pretzel with a Rolo.
  2. This is when they’ve just come out of the oven – you can see the Rolo starting to cave under the weight of the pecan. Just looking at that one is making my mouth water.
  3. You’ll move quickly to place a pecan half on top of each Rolo and press it down to sink it into the soft Rolo and spread across the pretzel.
  4. You’re done! Just let them cool before serving.

Warm chocolate and caramel complement the salty pretzel well. What about the pecan? This will help you meet some of your daily protein requirements.

If you are allergic to nuts (or just dislike them), simply add another pretzel on top!

The incredibly easy recipe for Rolo Pretzel Delights may be found on Rolos products or on the Rolos website. And you may make as many or as few as you like, however I suggest creating a large quantity since no one will stop at just one.

I guarantee you that the most difficult aspect is avoiding devouring all of the Rolo candies. Don’t pretend I didn’t warn you!

Disclaimer: Hershey’s and Snyder’s have no clue who I am, and this article was not paid for. I’m just a fan!
