Peanut Butter Cheerios No Bake Bars

This peanut butter Cheerios bars recipe calls for just four basic ingredients and produces fast and easy no-bake peanut butter bars that are ideal for a grab-and-go snack!

I intended to create a snack or dessert out of the box of Cheerios cereal I had on hand.

Then I thought it would be so simple to create cereal bars out of them using just a few items I already had on hand: Cheerios (duh), peanut butter, honey, and chocolate chips.

I’m kind of in love with them, and I’m very sure the convenience of creating them contributes to why they will become a go-to at home.

Even better, if you use Honey Nut Cheerios, you can reduce the quantity of honey in the recipe. Keep it in if you truly like honey! I won’t tell you how to spend your life.

Ingredients for peanut butter Cheerios bars

  • a cup of creamy peanut butter
  • cuphoney
  • cereal 3 cups Cheerios
  • a cup of dark chocolate chips

How to make peanut butter Cheerios bars

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the peanut butter and honey and heat until smooth.
  2. Combine the mixture with the Cheerios and chocolate chips in a mixing basin.
  3. Spoon it onto a dish lined with parchment paper and place it in the refrigerator to chill.

I cut mine into 9 big bars, but you could easily cut them into more if you want them to be more granola bar-sized to grab and go.

Leftover bars may be stored at room temperature for up to 4 days or in the fridge for up to 1 week.

How to freeze Cheerios bars

You may also keep the cut bars in the freezer for up to a month. Wrap each one separately in plastic wrap before placing them all in an airtight freezer-safe container.

Instructions

  • Set aside an 88-inch baking dish lined with parchment paper.
  • 2 cup of honey
    2 cup smooth peanut butter 1
    Combine peanut butter and honey in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30 second intervals, stirring after each, until melted and smooth.

    In a large mixing dish, combine the peanut butter and Cheerios. Stir in the chocolate chunks until well combined.

  • Place the prepared baking dish in the refrigerator to set (30 minutes to an hour).
  • Enjoy! Cut into 9 squares (or 16 smaller pieces) and serve.
