A somewhat sweet and spicy mustard sauce complements the smoked kielbasa wrapped in thick sliced bacon.
Let us get right to it: Bacon Kielbasa wrapped with bacon. You must have heard me. Meat encased in flesh.
I was searching for some Sunday football snacks to create from materials around the place and came up with this after Googling a few different ideas.
All you need is:
- Kielbasa
- Bacon
- The maple syrup
- Brown mustard with a spicy kick
- Chili flakes
- Toothpicks
- A little bowl
- a baking sheet coated with foil
Since I reside in New England and formerly lived in Vermont, I have a lot of authentic maple syrup on hand. That tastes SO much better than store-bought junk. Seriously.
Just take my word for it. If I see you with a woman-shaped bottle of that butter-flavored bullshit in your palm, I’m going to knock it out of your hand.
You may arrange them neatly side by side on a platter or simply pile them on top of each other on a dish for your guests to consume. I’m biased toward the latter.
I once brought these at a party and a vegan (yes, vegan) friend couldn’t stop raving about how delicious they smelled. She was also on the verge of attempting one. That was so near.
If you aren’t persuaded yet, simply create them and you will be. I guarantee it.

Description
Ingredients
- 12 oz. fresh or smoked kielbasa
- 12 ounces bacon, thick cut preferred
- a cup of hot brown mustard
- genuine maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons chili powder, or to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Set aside a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
- Cut each strip of bacon in half and slice the kielbasa into 1 piece. Remember that you’ll need half as many (whole) slices of bacon as kielbasa pieces, so keep that in mind as you’re preparing since the quantity you have may vary.
12 oz. kielbasa - 4 tablespoons pure maple syrup, 2 teaspoons chili powder
4 tablespoons spicy brown mustard 1
Whisk together mustard, maple syrup, and chili powder in a small basin.
1 - Coat both sides of each bacon slice with your mustard glaze, using a basting brush.
1 pound bacon - Wrap a toothpick through the middle of each kielbasa slice and fasten with a toothpick. Put the prepared baking sheet on its end (or tilted on the edge of the toothpick if need be).
- Depending on how crispy you prefer your bacon, bake for 30-40 minutes.
- Let them cook for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a cooling rack to drain excess oil.
- Serve right away and enjoy!
