I’m a little late to the chia pudding party. Since I arrived late, the party has already ended, and the hosts have gone to bed and shut out the lights. But, hey, it’s better late than never, right?

I’m kidding. This celebration is far from done. I’ve put up the lights, switched on the music, and set my table with a wonderful jar of Chocolate Cherry Chia Pudding.

Chia pudding is so easy to make

Chia seed pudding is all the rage, and now that I’ve jumped on board, I can understand why. This is a one-bowl meal that is absurdly simple and delicious. I placed it in quotation marks since I don’t even use a bowl; instead, I use a mason jar.

I prepare this in a 32-ounce mason jar, store it in the fridge, and then pour a fourth of it into a smaller 8-ounce container each morning to bring to work for breakfast. FTW, grab and go!

What are chia seeds?

Chia seeds are known as the Aztec superfood due to its high fiber, protein, and calcium content. They are attributed with boosting heart health, musculoskeletal function, and digestive wellness.

Since they expand so much when they come into touch with fluids (think: water or almond milk), they may give you the impression of being full, preventing you from nibbling on non-diet friendly foods. And if you’re anything like me, that’s a huge victory.

How many chia seeds should you consume?

All that is required is a spoonful of chia seeds each day, however each dish of this chia pudding has two teaspoons. Some individuals get stomach troubles when they consume too much chia seeds, so if you have a sensitive stomach, start with a single spoonful of chia seeds for each meal to begin started.

Chia seeds may be sprinkled dry over other dishes, such as a dash on top of some toast with peanut butter, but I’ve discovered that I like them in pudding form. The possibilities are really limitless with this basic vanilla formula.

Me? Today, I’m all about the pomegranate seeds, chopped chocolate, and an actual cherry on top!
